Delta-3-carene has a sweet, pungent odor and is a main constituent of pine and cedar resin. This terpene is naturally present in pine extracts, bell pepper oil, basil oil, citrus peel oils and the fruit juices of grapefruit and orange. Carene is a major component of turpentine and is used as a flavoring in many products. Delta 3 carene seems to be beneficial in healing broken bones. Patients suffering from osteoporosis, arthritis and even fibromyalgia may find benefit from this terpene.
